My
name is Joe McGuire, and I live and work in Glasgow, I am a Person Centred
Counsellor and hold a postgraduate Diploma in counselling from Strathclyde
University.
I also hold the postgraduate certificate in counselling skills from the same university, as well as an Honours degree in Psychology from the Open University.
As well as my private practice I teach counselling skills courses in a college of further education and work as a telephone counsellor for an EAP provider (employee assistance program). To date I have over 2000 client contact hours, and you can be assured that I will give you my utmost attention as you work through your difficulty.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and am bound by the ethical framework for good practice produced by the BACP. I have regular supervision of my work in line with BACP guidelines.
